Mailing out Christmas cards to all our contacts at over 300 schools was becoming a costly and admin-intensive exercise each year, so Stevensons decided to ring the changes this time round by donating the monies saved instead to a local hospice.
Stevensons staff wanted to help raise further funds for the hospice and decided to hold a ‘Nurses for November’ fundraising campaign with a dress down day, a Great British Bake Off style baking competition, a quiz night and raffle, supported by donations from local businesses and raised over £1300 for the charity.
Mark Stevenson, MD commented “I’m delighted that together with our staff we have raised enough money to fund a ’hospice at home nurse’ for one week and urge other businesses to consider doing the same.”
It’s not too late to donate, if you would like to support the ‘Nurses for November’ fundraising campaign please visit www.justgiving.com/nursesfornovember. All money raised will go directly to Grove House Hospice.
