The Assistant Production Manager will be responsible for helping oversee sub sections within the
department as well as providing key support to the Production Manager and team. This includes
managing staff, prioritising workloads, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring orders are completed
on time and to specification. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced production
environment, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Primary responsibilities:
• Offering support to the production manager across embroidery and print and assist in managing
the team. Covering the production manager fully when required.
• 80% of your job will be working hands on across embroidery and print.
• Supervise daily operations of a subsection, this may vary depending on what is required
• Help to manage and provide training, support and performance feedback to the team
• Help achieve production targets and maintain high-quality output.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to optimise cross-departmental processes.
• Ensure all embellishment processes comply with safety and quality regulations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and help implement process improvements for workflow
optimisation.
• Maintain equipment and manage regular servicing, repairs, and upgrades as necessary.
A successful applicant should have:
• Previous experience in management
• Hands-on approach and willingness to support the team where needed.
• Enthusiasm for developing process and product knowledge
• High levels of concentration and exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence using/learning IT and basic production software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Wilcom)
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Experience would be an advantage but training would be given in all areas.
Ideal but not essential:
• First hand knowledge of embellishment techniques such as vinyl printing, DTF and embroidery.
• Knowledge of braiding and machine sewing
