Warehouse Supervisor (Part Time)

Main purpose of the role

  • To take control of the day to day running of the Warehouse and branch stock room.
  • To ensure the goods in and out operation runs smoothly and efficiently at both premises.
  • To ensure productivity levels are high and targets are achieved promptly, with a high and accurate success pick rate on transfers.
  • To successfully log, manage and investigate any accuracy failures. Implements any spot-checks/stock checks required to ensure the department is working to its full potential.
  • To have good communication skills within the team and across the business regarding all aspects of the job role.
  • Responsible for the safe daily stock deliveries between Warehouse and branch.
  • To ensure all goods out are actioned in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by senior management from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To make sure Warehouse security is enforced. Key holder, Opening and Closing the premises.
  • Keeps the main Warehouse and branch stock room aisles clear, tidy and accessible. Keeps main work stations clear and organised. Implements a clean as you go policy throughout.
  • To process all goods out, web orders and back orders.
  • To oversee a team of warehouse operatives and dispatch staff in the peak months

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of business best practice as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Thorough knowledge of workplace Health & Safety standards.
  • Can involve some heavy lifting.
  • Understanding and recognising all parts of the company computer system that have impact and relate to Warehouse operations and can demonstrate how to put them into practise.
  • Ability to implement and ensure compliance with, company policies & procedures.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Shows a level of desire, enthusiasm and commitment above and outside of expectations.
  • Shows confidence motivating the team to their full potential and to achieve the best results with a positive attitude.
  • Committed to the continuous improvement of the department and team culture.
  • Excellent product, school, branch and supplier knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and via email.
  • Strong decision making and problem solving.
  • Ability to adapt to changes at short notice.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence essential
